Parents PageNote for parentsThis is a special site being created specifically for teens who are interested in witchcraft. Witchcraft is a belief system and way of life, it is positive, encouraging, supportive and caring. There are Christian witches, pagan witches and most who choose no label. It has nothing to do with the Christian Satan character, or harming animals or people. It is a selective belief system, therefore people may choose that which they want and ignore anything they do not, no one has to accept a set package deal. We are therefore within this web site able to produce a selection of craft knowledge, skills, and background material that is completely valid, yet avoids all adult areas. Witchcraft means the craft of the wise, and you will know very many witches, they are mostly the kind, caring, responsible, knowledgeable people within society, but as we have no calling to convert others, most will never even tell you of their beliefs unless you ask them. Young people following this course will become knowledgeable of the craft, understand a little of various forms of healing, become tolerant, confident people in charge of their own lives. They will not try to convert you, or try to make you change your lifestyle any more than they would have done prior to discovering this course. The course involves no cost, and we will not be promoting goods or services outside the site. Most tools of the craft they will be told how to make themselves, so there will no no major costs involved. We will not pass on information we come across such as email addresses, or other details to anyone outside the editorial management group, and no young person will be encouraged to join any adult group or make contact with them. We do have an internet based teen coven, they can belong to, at no cost, allowing them and their friends to practice as part of a teen path safely. Teen covenWe are working along side an existing teen coven path that young people will be able to join. This involves no meetings, and is internet based. It does mean that they and their friends can set up their own circle or coven and to be able to practice as witches, and as a part of a larger coven group. This group is a member of the Traditional Craft Association, the organization that traditional witchcraft groups belong to, and was set up by a number of paths/groups working together so as to provide a safe coven for the sons and daughters of witches, as most covens do not allow anyone in who is under 18 years old. People who undertake this course do not have to join this, its completely optional. There is no membership fee. Any changes to the courseIf we have any changes to the course that we believe a parent would want to know about, we will cover it here. The course is still developing, and this is handled by a team of writers with an advisory group running it, you can find out more about this process and the arrangements we have to develop this site on www.witchcraft-school.org Parents guide to teen witchcraftWe are producing a brief guide to teen witchcraft for parents, schools and others, when available you will be able to reach it from this page. If you at any time have any problems or questions you need to have answered then email us at "parent-enq @ witchcraft-school.com", there is no space before or after the @ |
